FPV 'drone' Racing the start of a new sport
We fly mini "drones" at high speed round short tight courses and through the smallest of gaps for fun. We fly them "First Person View" or FPV through goggles. As if we are sitting inside the miniquad. It's like pod racing from Star Wars, in real life! We hope to share the story of how we grew a community and a e-commerce store over past few months. Plus all the exciting things we have been doing for the FPV Racing community.

Frustrated with System and Data Integration?

Frustrated with System and Data Integration?

This breakthrough solution is simple.

  • Integration can be unnecessarily complex. And instead of enabling better and faster enterprise, it can slow you down, or even bring your business to a standstill. This is not how it is supposed to be!
  • This is why you cannot miss this presentation, because we will share real life successful and proven solutions to the most common and frustrating of integration challenges.
  • If you’re trying to move into the cloud, integrate new customers with your system, or simply and seamlessly sync your data between the Pretoria and the Poffadder branch, you need to be here.

How startups can work with government to make citizens lives better

This presentation follows the speaker’s journey, guided by Alan Knott-Craig, into the world of South Africa tech startup’s. It then looks at the shift in focus from pure moneymaking-startup ideas to initiatives that help governments improve the lives of its citizens.

He was employee #1 at Project Isizwe, the largest government-funded public WiFi network in Africa.

With Happimo, a non-profit organisation, the speaker is about to launch Namola – a smartphone solution aimed at helping the Tshwane Metro Police Department provide a better service to the citizens of Tshwane.

Happimo has also identified a number of key government issues that can be easily solved by tech startups. The plan is to launch a new initiative every month for the next year.

Instead of building the solution for each problem Happimo looks to connect the dots between government and tech Startups..

CloudGate simplifies: Hybrid Cars, Hybrid Power, Hybrid Computing
The benefits of a 'hybrid' are very apparent: it helps you leverage the best of both worlds within a complex environment. Hybrid cars combine the power of combustion engines with the economy of electric motors. Given South Africa's recent energy troubles, 'hybrid power' - augmenting electricity from the grid with renewable energy - has become increasingly relevant. CloudGate simplifies 'hybrid computing', a powerful combination offering the benefits of both localised computing and cloud computing. So users get their personalised settings, apps, and more, while, businesses benefit from increased security, lower unit and maintenance costs, and reduced power consumption.
